I think the level up is so meh.
I would've personally made his animation making the camera look like someone was looking him devastating an army and growing in size as he consume their blood to shape his body into a bigger entity, then him slashing the camera person finishing the animation. Similar to nocturne but in Aatrox lore style.

The reason why Aatrox might look a bit similiar to a woman from the shape of his face is probably because he need entire villiges and towns to create his body. So he uses men, women and probably kids as well

So, you are telling me that you are a visual person, but you are not accounting the muscle sizes, you are just looking at the face. The test you seem to be failing is if it turns you on. his level up is weird tho, because canonically speaking if he is ever not in phisical contact with the sword his body immediately dies, that's how pantheon defeated him, by cutting off his arm. So the animation starting by him picking up…. himself is kinda weird
Aatrox body can be a woman. I mean anyone can hold the sword and be corrupted. It could be a man, a woman, even a dog can do it.
